Fairy Girl
by Sean Shatto

She’s a faerie, pixie dust-dropping, dancing
high in the clouds, propelled
invisible wings, wit, circumstances
never hold her down,
a little fragile
a little overbearing
and unfocused but concentrating,
self-appreciating, self-loathing
all-loving one, she’s aloft
but not aloof, besids the normal spells
She sparkles, she sings
her voice, though imperfect
is perfection in its highest form
she dances among the flowers
and the gold rainshowers
she’s among the clouds,
a faerie with wings
fluttering frantically
but moving slowly enough
to let you get an idea
of what’s on her mind
